Career Preparation Roadmap

How can you best prepare for a career in your chosen industry throughout your time in college? The Career Preparation Roadmap breaks down how to set yourself up for success during each year of your academic career. The Career Preparation Roadmaps also outline common employers and job titles to keep an eye out for in your job search, factors that contribute to your success in landing a job post-grad, and additional resources to help you along the way.

The Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology has developed faculty expertise and the supporting resource facilities to instruct students in three major areas of biochemistry and molecular biology: the structure and function of macromolecules, cellular biochemistry, and molecular gene expression. The undergraduate major provides students with a strong background in the biological, physical, and mathematical sciences. Such training develops the skills necessary to pursue careers in biological and biomedical research, biotechnology, medical laboratories, and many health-related professions such as medicine and veterinary care.
