SI Small Study Groups
SI workshops are small study groups offered to Key Academic Community students for traditionally difficult
freshman level courses such as Biology.
Groups meet once per week for one
and one-half hours. Sessions are led by a trained workshop facilitator who has taken the course
and received an "A" or "B". The facilitators work with each
professor's curriculum. Students and facilitators review course
lectures, textbook readings, homework problems, and other material as it relates to
the course.
SI encourages good study habits and testing skills while providing a relaxed, small-group
atmosphere for students.
