Auger North Collaboration Meeting

February 17 - 19 , 2009

Fort Collins, Colorado

Welcome to the Auger North RDA, and Southern Aperture Meeting 2009 registration website.

Dates: 17, 18, 19 Feb 2009

Getting to Fort Collins and your hotel

The following web page gives driving directions from Denver airport to Fort Collins: http://www.map.colostate.edu/location.aspx

If you take the E470 toll road be aware you will need to stop at two toll booths and pay $US cash for the tolls.

If you arrive to Fort Collins on Prospect Road, as suggested on the above web page, then when you get to the intersection of Prospect Road and College Avenue you are near both the suggested hotels. The Hilton is on Prospect about 300m west (straight ahead) of the intersection. For the Best Western University Inn, you should turn right (north) at the intersection of College and Prospect, and the hotel will be on College Avenue about 400m north.

You can also get from the airport to Fort Collins on the Shamrock Shuttle, which is a periodic bus. You can get door-to-door service to your hotel. The desk to buy your bus ticket is just around the corner from where you emerge from the train at the Denver airport. See http://www.rideshamrock.com/rs_ax.php I guess Shamrock is also called SuperShuttle now.

Where is the meeting on the CSU campus?

The meeting is in the CSU Lory Student Center. You can see a map at http://www.map.colostate.edu/ Click the right side of the map to locate the Lory Student Center, which is building #68. The meeting starts on Tuesday at 8:30AM (coffee)/ 9:00 (welcome) in the Senate Chambers, which is on the ground floor near the south end of the Lory Student Center.

Both hotels are within walking distance of the meeting. The Hilton is on the south edge of campus, and you walk more or less straight north about 1/3 mile to the Lory Student Center. Ask any student. The Best Western University Inn is on the east edge of campus, and you can walk more or less straight west to find the meeting.

If you want to drive from the hotel I will leave parking permits at your hotel. I suggest parking in the Engineering lot (see the campus map at http://www.map.colostate.edu/. Enter the lot from Laurel at Meldrum and park in a spot without a meter. Parking in a metered spot will get you a ticket in about 100msec, and the permits I can give you do not work in the metered spots.

Please let me know if you have any questions, and let's have a productive meeting.

Sincerely,

John Harton
