What is a co-op?
- A full-time 6 month PAID work experience related to
your major alternating with academic semesters.
- Will involve the need to leave campus to pursue this experience.
- You will continue to be an enrolled student.
- Work with your co-op advisor to establish learning goals
and objectives to receive credit for this experience.
Why should I co-op?
- To make money - all co-op positions are paid.
- Establish a professional network.
- Apply what you learn in the classroom.
- Gain real-world work experience.
- Open the door to your career.
- Receive academic recognition for your work through Credit and Transcript notation.
Who is eligible for a co-op?
- Students in good academic standing with a GPA of 2.5 or above
- Students who are 2nd semester sophomores or above with 30 completed credits.
- Register as an interactive user on Colorado State CareerRAM
- Complete all paperwork required to begin the co-op experience
- Students in the following majors:
Computer Science
Mathematics
Physics
When can I co-op?
- Apply fall semester of your sophomore year to begin a co-op in January.
Applications for January co-op must be submitted by the end of September.
- Apply spring semester of your sophomore year to begin a Co-op in July.
Applications for the July co-op must be submitted by the end of February.

- Top companies in Colorado.
- From Fortune 500's to entrepreneurial opportunities.
- Companies participating include:

How do I apply for a co-op?
- Log onto www.career.colostate.edu and register with CareerRAM.
- Meet with Judy Brobst at (491-1190) or
Judy.Brobst@colostate.edu.
- Create a resume and submit to employers for consideration.
- Attend REQUIRED workshops prior to going on your co-op assignment.
- Register for co-op course through Continuing Education.
- Notify your co-op academic advisor when you accept a position.
